Quando estivemos em visita a Umbria, fomos conhecer a vinícola Scacciadiavoli. Eles tem uma história de mais de cem anos, que fala de gerações de viticultores e de como ainda é possível transmitir amor pela terra e pelo território.
Montefalco e a uva Sagrantino fazem parte do DNA da vinícola Scacciadiavoli e da família Pambuffetti. Uma união que começou com o sonho de Amilcare e agora continua com a quarta geração da família.
Scacciadiavoli foi concebida e fundada em 1884 pelo príncipe Ugo Boncompagni Ludovisi como um “estabelecimento” vinícola; um imponente e muito moderno complexo enológico para a época.
Em 1954 Amilcare Pambuffetti, aos 71 anos de idade, adquiriu a propriedade Scacciadiavoli, a mesma propriedade onde ele havia trabalhado quando criança, aos 14 anos de idade.
Com sua morte, em 1977, Amilcare Pambuffetti deixou tudo para seus filhos Alfio, Settimio e Mario, que continuaram as atividades empreendidas por seu pai.
E então, em 1990, os irmãos Pambuffetti (Francesco, Carlo e Amilcare), filhos de Settimio, em nome de uma antiga tradição, decidiram se colacar à frente da vinícola mais antiga da região.
No ano 2000 a área de produção foi submetida a extensas reformas, visando preservar e conservar todos os elementos estruturais e arquitetônicos originais. Introduziram ainda, equipamentos e tecnologia modernos – mas a produção de vinhos nunca parou.
Em 2017 a quarta geração da família (Amilcare, Iacopo, Liù ,Romeo e Fiammetta ) juntou-se à família. Atualmente, a vinícola possui 130 hectares de terra, dos quais aproximadamente 40 hectares são plantados com videiras. A produção atual é de cerca de 250.000 garrafas.
Um vinhedo em Montefalco
Toda a estrutura da adega repousa suavemente sobre a encosta da Umbria e, graças à estrutura vertical em quatro níveis, um dos quais é subterrâneo, toda a produção de vinho é feita por gravidade.
Os vinhedos ocupam várias encostas dos municípios de Montefalco, Gualdo Cattaneo e Giano dell’Umbria e estão localizados a uma altitude média de 400 metros acima do nível do mar. Os solos são argilosos e moderadamente profundos, muito adequados para a viticultura de qualidade com foco em variedades tardias, como o Sagrantino.
Quarta geração de produtores de vinho
Tivemos uma belíssima experiência na propriedade. Fomos recebidos por uma das herdeiras titulares, Fiammetta e por Mônica, uma funcionária que há anos trabalha ali e conhece absolutamente tudo da história da família, da região e da produção dos vinhos.
Com um grupo de jornalistas, visitamos a cantina, os vinhedos e sentamos para a degustação de todos os rótulos Scacciadiavoli, acompanhados de algumas delícias locais, produzidas ali mesmo, na propriedade.
Foram: espumante branco brut feito pelo método clássico com Sagrantino e Chardonnay. Espumante rosé igualmente feito pelo método clássico, 100% de Sagrantino. Brancos fermos DOC feitos da uva Grechetto 100%, outro com adição de Trebbiano Spoletino e Chardonnay e outro ainda 100% Trebbiano.
Dos tintos foram: blends DOCG de Sagrantino, Sangiocese e Merlot. Outros 100% Sagrantino de diferentes safras e ainda um Passito DOCG SENSACIONAL, feito 100% de Sagrantino, que preciso dizer que foi o meu preferido do dia (não tenho muito costume de apreciar passivos, mas esse foi um verdadeiro achado)!
Recomendo uma visita a essa azienda italiana, que aliás tem uma área de receptivo muito bonita e bem estruturada, podendo receber grandes grupos para degustações, inclusive com harmonizações.
